What Do I Pick?

🥇🥈🥉 Top 3 - Predict which teams will finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. All three must be different teams.
🐴 Dark Horse - A team you think will overperform relative to their seed. Scores if they finish >=5 places above their seeding.
🫏 White Donkey - A team you think will underperform relative to their seed. Scores if they finish <=5 places below their seeding.

Team Seedings

Team seeds for each tournament are based on datDota Glicko-2 Team Ratings. Seeds are set when the tournament is created and determine the baseline for Dark Horse and White Donkey scoring.

FAQ

Can my Dark Horse or White Donkey be the same as a Top 3 pick?

Yes! Dark Horse and White Donkey picks can overlap with your Top 3 picks.

What happens with tied placements?

Many Dota 2 tournaments have tied placements (e.g. two teams share 5-6th). For Dark Horse scoring, the best (lowest) placement in the tie range is used. For White Donkey, the worst (highest) placement is used, always in favor of the predictor.

Can I edit my prediction?

Yes, you can edit your prediction as many times as you want before the tournament starts. After the start time, predictions are locked.

D2 Predictor is a non-commercial fan project inspired by We Say Things with SUNSfan and syndereN.
